Sword x Staff Sage Build: Dark Healer Stats and Pets

Profile

ItemSage
PathMage → Sage (Lv. 44) → Arcanist → Dominator
RoleHealer and buffer; support for guild bosses and Fantasy Ladder walls
Trait statAll base attributes (the only class with a flat multi-stat trait)
Element affinityDark
WeaknessSlowest solo farming; team-dependent

Pocket Gamer calls Sages “mandatory for any party content”; the EOG hub calls them “borderline essential for late-game guild bosses.”

Stat focus

Healing power, HP, cooldown reduction. Because the trait covers base attributes, most Sage players still stack Crit Rate from gear to swing a damage spell into the rotation. Swordxstaff.wiki’s shorthand (Healing Output › Max HP › Cooldown Reduction) matches.

The one build that is actually used

Community consensus for the current global patch: Sage has one viable build — Dark. Summoner and pure-Healer builds are described as not viable right now; swordxstaff.wiki lists Erosion/Direct-Damage/Summoner paths from the pre-launch era, so treat those as historical until a patch changes it.

  • Support template — healing-first kit that carries party HP through Fantasy Ladder walls and guild-boss DoT phases.

Fantomons and Companions

Defense-type Fantomons for sustain; Mandragora (heal procs) and Herbote (redundant heal coverage + cleanse). Companions: Accuracy › Crit Rate for a DPS/DoT Sage, or Healing Boost for a healer Sage — and Healing Boost only unlocks at Companion L100, so the healer build is a long grind.

Reclass notes

Sage’s Damage Boost / Damage Reduce tuning translates to most classes except Knight (no Block). Standard-banner pity carries over. Continue: Arcanist & Dominator, companions guide, guild & multiplayer.
