Who the companions are (official lore posts, May 14, 2026)

Verdantglade: Molly (travelling merchant), Akane (your guide, claims to be centuries old), Reina (Akane’s quiet sister), Narss (chief of Drasilgard), Hermes (merchant-alchemist), Qin (Loongborn girl, surprisingly strong in battle), Killian (Dryason archaeologist), and the cloaked Mysterious Merchant. Cinder Ridge: Naira (ruler of Fortburg, the ridge’s ace Ascended One), Micaela (forge inventor), Karlos (hot-blooded trainee), Braulio (merchant big brother), Mateo (bookish). Aqualis: Mio (shrine miko), Mayoi (her sharp-eyed sister), Osawa Eiichi, Hanayama Suzu (demi-yokai of Hellhollow), Juubee (dead-fish-eyed drifter who is clearly dangerous). How Companion upgrades work (community, EOG/QY Maple)

Match stats to class: Knight Block › Crit Rate; Sorcerer and Duelist Crit Rate › Accuracy; Sage Accuracy › Crit Rate (DPS) or Healing Boost (healer, L100). Tap the exclamation mark on a Companion in-game to read its exact profile.

Universal order: everyone to L20 → class-matching ones to L50 → L70 → L100. The same for F2P and whales; spending only changes speed.

Gifts and affinity

Give gifts only to Companions that prefer them (the in-game mark shows preferences). Community note: affection from summons caps at 1,000 per week; overflow becomes profile hearts. “Unlock chief companion” and “unlock all companions” are common searches — the official posts do not list unlock conditions, so we leave them unconfirmed as of Aug 23, 2026.
